We read our fairy tales to our buddies and they gave us two stars and a wish (two things they thought we’d done well, and one thing they thought we could work on improving in the next story we write). They were very impressed that each of us had written a whole story in primary one!
When we went to the library this afternoon we were joined by a primary seven class. Some of us read books to them, some of us listened to stories they read to us, some of us shared books with each other and some of us chose to read by ourselves.
Today we made a right racket! We experimented playing different instruments and thought of words to describe the noises they made.
We experimented with tin cans connected with string. Great fun!

We have added 3 QR codes to one of our displays. To use them you need to have a ‘QR Reader’ app on your phone/tablet. When you scan a code you will be taken to Vimeo where you can press the play button to hear one of the children talking about their learning.

Yesterday we made slime. We had great fun mixing the ingredients together to make some slime for the giant.
We used Red Riding Hood’s air-drying clay to make magic fairies in the wildlife garden. we are wondering if the magic will work and they will turn into real fairies.

We have been investigating the weights of various objects.
We chose which materials we would use to build our bridges, worked out how to make everything stick together/balance, then we tested to see if they would hold the Three Billy Goats Gruff.

This afternoon we returned to our classroom to discover a letter from ‘The Big Bad Wolf’. He told us that he had captured some Fairyland creatures and when we followed the fairy trail we discovered they had been frozen! After lots of strength, warm water and sun light we successfully rescued all the Fairyland creatures!
