Emotion Talks outdoors
This afternoon we used the outdoors to further our Emotion Talks work. With a partner, we used natural objects to create faces with different emotions.

Bird Feeders
Yesterday P1A and P1B decided to help the birds (and squirrels) find plenty of food to help them prepare for the colder weather. They tied string around pine cones, rolled them in lard, then pressed them into a tray of bird seed. When plenty of seeds had stuck to the pine cone the girls and boys chose good places to hang them up in the nature strip.
Dominoes
Today Miss G taught us how to play dominoes. Dominoes is a great game for developing a range of numeracy skills including patterns and number recognition. We loved playing with our friends.
Phonic revision week
This week are revising the sounds we have learned so far. We are enjoying lots of fun activities that help consolidate our learning.
Cycling
Ms Christie has kindly arranged for all classes in Primary One to have a cycling session this week, starting with balance bikes and moving on to two wheeled bikes. Some children have never ridden a bike before, others have ridden many times. Some children can already cycle with two wheels and they have been learning greater control. Some children have managed to ride a bike without stabilisers for the first time. Super work everybody!

Autumn walk
Our house corner has turned into Percy the Park Keeper’s Hut. During Welly Wednesday we went on a walk to collect Autumn items for him. We loved playing in the leaves.
Autumn art
Autumn has well and truly arrived! We embraced the start of this lovely season with some leaf art.
Leaf printing, painting and rubbing…
